Live Dealer Games to be streamed from the Las Vegas Strip

21st June 2024 – Press Release

Playtech and MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) (“MGM Resorts” or the “Company”) are announcing a strategic partnership today that will offer new and unique live casino content to iGaming industry operators.

Streamed directly from the gaming floors of two of MGM Resorts’ most iconic Las Vegas Strip properties, the live casino content, branded as “MGM Live,” will be available for licensing in regulated markets worldwide, outside the United States.

The live casino offering will include single- and double-zero roulette and baccarat, broadcast live from the casino floors at MGM Grand and Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

As the partnership evolves, the plan is to broaden the portfolio with exclusive access to various Playtech games, branded TV game shows, celebrity-hosted trivia shows, and the one-of-a-kind entertainment experiences for which Las Vegas and MGM are known.

“The launch of this new and exciting live casino offering, in partnership with Playtech and directly from Bellagio and MGM Grand in Las Vegas, furthers our strategic vision to be the world’s premier gaming entertainment company.

This collaboration amplifies our commitment to providing unparalleled experiences and expands our global reach to our customers,”

Said Bill Hornbuckle, Chief Executive Officer & President of MGM Resorts.

“We believe the content, celebrity talent and sophisticated gaming experience that we will offer – all from the trusted and highly reputable brands of MGM Resorts – will be unmatched in the industry.”

Mor Weizer, Chief Executive Officer at Playtech, said;

“We are thrilled to partner with MGM Resorts, a world-renowned gaming and entertainment brand. This alliance combines the strength of MGM Resorts’ global prestige with Playtech’s extensive international market knowledge and innovative games.

As a leading technology provider in regulated markets, we are delighted that this partnership is pioneering a new live entertainment category and product offering for players in these regulated territories.

Our alliance is built on a shared vision to create an innovative and unique customer experience alongside our commitment to safer gambling.

Both Playtech and MGM Resorts are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of player protection and ensuring our offerings are enjoyed responsibly.”

As MGM Resorts’ technology partner, Playtech will provide players with on-demand, online access to a combination of next-level, immersive entertainment experiences directly from two of the industry’s landmark, exclusive brands: Bellagio and MGM Grand.

Both brands look forward to working with operators to support and promote a safe gambling experience.

LiveCasinoComparer Comment

This is such a no-brainer. It was a matter of time before someone announced Live Games from Las Vegas. I’m surprised it’s taken this long!

Given the partnership between Genting and Evolution, I had imagined we would get the first live dealer games from Genting Resorts World, but there’s been no movement there.

Then Sands announced it was entering the live dealer space, but we’ve heard little about their plans since it was first announced.

Other operators have hinted they might be doing something, and there are development houses in Las Vegas, so again, it’s a surprise that nothing has been forthcoming from there.

Given the growth of Live Dealers worldwide and matching that with visitors to Las Vegas, the visibility this will give the on- and offline casinos should be huge.

Of the announcements, it’s just a waiting game to see who delivers first!

The game choices are clever. All three are One-to-many games, meaning they only need the three tables to satisfy hundreds of concurrent players.

I expect the next set of games will also be one-to-many, which suits Unlimited Blackjack and the Gameshows, although these can’t be played live in the casinos as they stand, unlike Roulette and Baccarat.

About Neil’s Casino Comparer Reviews

I have tried to be objective and consistent with all my live casino reviews. Hopefully, they will strike a chord with you, but I thought it might be helpful to explain the criteria I use to mark each of the casinos. Hopefully, the categories and explanations make sense.

Playability – What is the overall impression of the casino? Did I have a good time? are the dealers nice and chatty and is everything easy to understand? Does it have a good set of games and is there a comprehensive set of betting options? Are high stakes players taken care of?

Software – What is the software like to use and does it integrate well with the rest of the casino?. Are the images clear and is the video streaming fast? Have they taken more than the default shared tables? Is it available on mobile?

Payment Options – Does the casino have a good variety of payment options? Do they payout quickly and on time?

Security – How good is the reputation of the casino amongst other players? Do they hold a valid gaming license? Are they transparent about the security measures they have in place? Are they regularly audited? Do they publish this information?

Support – Do they have multiple methods for communication with me? Is support available 24×7? Do they have instant chat and are they quick to respond? Are they able to help me immediately? Do they have an online FAQ and self-help library? Are the support people knowledgeable about the product I’m playing?

Bonuses – Do they have bonuses?. How strict are the wagering requirements? Do they offer repeat bonuses?. Do they offer loyalty points and can they be redeemed for cash or playing credits?

After all that, would I play there regularly?
