StakeLogic Vegas Drops Roulette – Review, Strategy and How to Play

stakelogic vegas drops roulette

Vegas Drops Roulette Game Review

Vegas Drops Roulette by Stakelogic is a live dealer roulette game that delivers enhanced multiplier payouts during a Bonus round.

To qualify, you must have an active straight-up bet on one of five randomly selected numbers.

You can increase your chances and the value of the payouts by playing the optional Super Stake Bet, which adds five additional numbers with a higher payout more likely.

It’s not the first multiplier game Stakelogic has produced, but it’s the first time they’ve used this unique bonus feature to deliver some nice payouts.

In this review, I’ll explain how to play and how you can win up to 4,999x with the Vegas Drops bonus feature. As usual, you can see a practical demonstration in my video review.

What is Vegas Drops Roulette?

Vegas Drop Roulette is a regular European Roulette game with a single Zero and a bonus round feature, which is accessed when you have an active bet on one of ten randomly selected numbers.

The numbers come in two types: Red Numbers, available to everyone playing, and Gold Numbers, which you can access through the additional Super Stake Bet, which costs an extra 50% of your main bet.

The Red numbers come with one or two stars, and the Gold numbers have one to five stars. The stars indicate the number of columns in the Vegas Drops Bonus to calculate the multiplier payout. The more stars a winning number has, the better!

Only Straight-up bets can qualify for the Vegas Drops Bonus round and, under normal circumstances, have a payout of 29:1. All other bet types follow the standard roulette payout table.

The Bonus Round consists of a grid of five columns, each holding 10 multiplier bricks of varying values. Bricks are dropped randomly into each column. The first column to fill becomes the payout, but if more columns are active, the game continues until the number of columns filled equals the number of stars associated with the winning number. All filled columns are totalled together if the number has five stars, giving the final payout multiplier.

The Bonus Round can also be purchased with a Bonus Buy, which bypasses the roulette game and jumps straight to the Bonus round. More on that later!

How To Play Vegas Drops Roulette?

The first thing you should do is decide whether to play the Super Stake bet, which will cost you 50% of your main bet.

The Super Stake gives you access to up to five Gold numbers in addition to the Red Numbers, which increases the chances you’ll get into the bonus round and the payout value you could receive.

There’s no guarantee the winning number will be a bonus or whether it’s a Red or Gold number.

Placing Your Bets

If you want to play for the Vegas Drop Bonus Round, you’ll need to place Straight-Up bets. These are bets on individual numbers, and you win if the ball stops in a numbered pocket you have a bet on.

The payout is 29:1 unless the number is a Bonus Number. In this case, the Bonus round is initiated, and you could win up to 4,999x.

All other Roulette bets are paid at the regular European Roulette rate, but they don’t qualify for the Bonus Round.

Other Inside Bets include Split, Line (Street), Corner & 6 Line. These are more difficult to win and have a higher payout than Outside bets.

Outside Bets include Columns, Dozens, Red/Black, and Odd/Even; they are easier to win but pay less than the Inside bets.

To place bets, use the Racetrack to place section and neighbour bets, the betting grid, or any statistics panel where numbers are shown.

Don’t forget to switch on the Super Stake bet radio button if you want the Gold Numbers active.

Red and Gold Numbers are Selected

Once betting time has completed, the game selects up to five Red Numbers and five Gold numbers, giving access to the Bonus round if the result equals one of the numbers.

Each Red number is allocated between one and three stars, which indicates the number of payout columns that will be active during the bonus round. The gold numbers have between one and five stars for the same reason. The more stars, the more columns, and the bigger the payouts will likely be.

Wheel Spins and The Result

Vegas Drops uses an Automatic Roulette wheel. It operates with motors and compressed air to start the spin and fire the ball into the wheel. These wheels are often used in Multiplier Roulette games, leaving the presenter to provide the commentary and keep the game moving along quickly.

Standard protocols exist for the wheel’s operation. The next spin is made in the opposite direction from the last, and the ball is introduced at the previous winning number position.

The Spin to Spin time is 45 seconds, with betting time lasting 18 seconds.

Once the ball is in motion, the cameras pan into the wheel, so you get a good view of it bouncing around before coming to rest in one of the numbered pockets.

If the winning number is a Red or Gold Number, the bonus round starts. If you’ve won with a straight-up bet, you can participate; otherwise, you’ll be watching.

Bettors who win bets on other combinations receive payouts. If you’ve not placed a super stake bet but have a bet on one of the gold numbers and it wins, you’ll receive a payout of 29:1.

Vega Drops Bonus Round

The RNG bonus round consists of a five-column, 10-row panel into which multiplier bricks are randomly dropped, gradually filling up each column.

Each brick has a different value and colour. There are Green, Blue, Purple, and Gold bricks, with the gold bricks having the higher multiplier value.

On entry to the bonus round, the winning Red or Gold number has a number of stars associated with it. These relate to the number of columns paid during the bonus round.

A column is paid when it becomes full, so if the number had three stars, the first three columns to be filled would become the payout when all the bricks were totalled.

The more stars/columns you have, the higher your payout is likely to be. However, it’s possible to get a good payout with just one column—you just need lots of gold bricks!

The bonus round starts with bricks cascading down and settling into a column. As the collums become full, the drops slow down, increasing the anticipation for which columns will fill first.

When the number of columns filled matches the number of stars on the number, the bonus round ends, and the bricks are totalled for the multiplier payout.

The maximum payout is 4,999x.

Vegas Drops Roulette Statistics

Results statistics are displayed in three ways. A slider controls the number of results to include, with a maximum of the last 500 games.

  1. Results are displayed visually across the wheel. Hot and Cold Numbers are identified by the colours Red and Blue.
  2. Results by Inside and Outside bet type, including a breakdown by sections.
  3. A list of the last results, including where the Bonus round was triggered, the colour of the number (Red or Gold), the number of stars and the final payout multiplier.

Vegas Drops Roulette Strategies and Tactics

The first thing you need to do before we discuss playing strategies is decide what you want from the game.

  • Do you want a long playtime?
  • Are you more interested in going after the bonus round?
  • Are you happy with just the Red Numbers, or do you want the bigger wins from the Gold Numbers from the Super Stake bet?
  • Do you want to make a profit?

If the Bonus round is crucial, you must play straight-up bets. Apart from the feature buy, which I’ll cover later, this is the only way to get into the Bonus Round.

Each of these outcomes has pros and cons, so I’ll list what you should do to achieve each one and the impact it will have on your BankRoll.

Long Playtime Strategy

The long playtime strategy involves turning over your bankroll lots of times. The way to do that is with a selection of Outside bets to complement a few straight-up and section bets. The idea is to not bet more than you can win. This betting strategy relies on the outside bet covering the total bet amount when it wins, and a section bet that stands gives a 33% chance of a winning number and a few Straight-up bets for the opportunity to get the bonus round. This betting strategy concentrates more on winning than getting the bonus round.

Bonus Round Strategy

For this strategy to work, you need to cover at least 28 of the numbers on the wheel with a straight-up bet and maybe an Outside bet to cover a complete loss of the number bet. Be careful not to bet more than you can win. This gives the highest chance of winning a straight-up number and one of the Red Numbers. It’s a more volatile bet than the Long play, and you’ll lose your bankroll more quickly. However, your chances of a straight-up win at 29:1 are higher, as is getting the bonus round number.

Play The Super Stake Bet for the Gold Numbers?

The Super Stake Bet gives you up to five more numbers for the bonus round and more stars on those numbers, meaning bigger payouts. But the cost of playing it is 50% on top of your initial bet.

You could have ten bonus numbers in play, 5 Red and 5 Gold, almost a third of the wheel numbers.

You don’t need to play the Super Stake Bet, as you can still get the bonus round with the “free” Red numbers. So, the Super Stake is more for players who like a higher volatility game, don’t care as much about losing, and want that extra buzz of the more significant potential payout. But with it comes more risk.

I advise against playing it if you want to see some returns from the game. A 50% levy is very high for the returns you get.

Strategy for Making a Profit?

I have to laugh at this one, because if there was such a strategy, the casinos would go bust. The best you can do is limit the amount you lose and hop that you get a win that puts you in profit.

If you get the Bonus round early in your playing session and it puts you in profit, you should leave the game and do something else. Come back later and play again, but get that feeling that you’re a winner.

You’d be surprised the more you do this the more you’ll enjoy your playing sessions.

The same can also be said of when you’re on a loosing run. Bail out, don’t chase your losses. Come back when you’re in a better frame of mind.

Vegas Drops Bonus Buy

The feature buy isn’t quite what you think it is. Usually when you have feature buy it guarantees entry into a bonus round.

But that is not how it works in this game.

The feature buy gives you three purchasing options to have bets placed on either the Red Nunbers, Gold Numbers or the Red and Gold Numbers.

Then, you wait for the result of the wheel’s spin to see if the result is one of those numbers. Nothing is guaranteed.

The minimum sum is £9 for the Red Numbers at a bet amount on the numbers of £1. So, you can get up to five numbers covered with a £1 bet or one number covered with a £1 bet, and both would cost you £9.

I’ll leave you to decide whether this is good value.

  • Up to five Red Numbers for £9.
  • Up to five Gold numbers for £21.
  • Or up to five Red and five Gold Numbers for £30.

All are at a £1 stake per number.

Vegas Drops Roulette – how it compares?

Vegas Drops Roulette is slightly different from other multiplier roulettes because the multipliers are usually assigned to numbers on the betting grid after betting time has closed.

Vegas Drops has up to ten numbers that get you into a Bonus Round, where the final payout is a multiplier. In this respect, it’s a bit like Mega Fire Blaze Roulette.

But unlike most multiplier games, a fee is required to play for the bigger payouts. The Super Stake fee is unique to Stakelogic and is used in Super Stake Roulette, which also has a bonus round. The games are similar, as both have maximum payouts of 4,999x.

If you like roulette games with bonus rounds, this is a good one. Lightning Roulette is probably more up your street if you prefer multipliers on the main betting grid.

Summary

Vegas Drops roulette is simple in its design. It’s roulette with a bonus round. You either stick to the regular way of accessing the bonus round by winning with one of the five Red Bonus numbers or increase your chances by playing the Super Stake Bet for five more Gold numbers or using the Buy Bonus Feature. Whatever way you use, you’ll find an RNG bonus round that delivers a multiplier payout, and depending on how you entered, the payout could be as much as 4,999x.

The heart of the game is Roulette, so play roulette as you would and enjoy the odd bonus round when it happens. Don’t chase it; you’ll lose your bankroll before you know what happened.

The presenters do a good job of engaging with the players. I’d encourage you to use the chat feature, as it must get boring for them to say the same things over and over again.

I’ve found that the feature occurs regularly every nine games or so, so having a few straight-up bets is worth it.

I advise steering clear of the Bonus Buy Feature because it doesn’t buy the bonus; it just places a bet on each of the bonus numbers for an inflated amount – which you’ll mostly lose.
