Bac Bo is a new live dealer table game created by Evolution. It’s a fusion of Baccarat and Sic Bo, giving us the name Bac Bo.
Although touted as a modified Baccarat played with dice, I prefer to think of it as a modified version of Dragon Tiger played with dice.
There are two playing positions – Player and Banker. Two dice are rolled for each position. The position with the highest combined total of the two dice wins. It’s as simple as that.
There is no complicated side bets or bets to make. The betting choice is Player, Banker or Tie.
The Tie bet pays 88:1 if the dice tie with Double Sixes or Double Ones.
Here are 5 things you need to know before you start playing Bac Bo.
As I mentioned previously, Bac Bo is a very simple game to play.
It’s a game played with Four Dice, two Blue Dice for the player and two Red Dice for the Banker.
Each of the dice is placed on four shaker positions on the table, one dice on each position.
When Betting time starts, which last for about 15 seconds, the dice shakers start to vibrate.
When the betting time has closed, the dice stop shaking at different times, building tension and anticipation during the game round.
The first dice to stop is the Players, followed by the Banker, then the player again and finally the Banker.
When all dice have stopped shaking, the totals for each position are added together. The position with the highest total is declared the winner.
In the event of a Tie the player’s stake is returned less 0.10 or 10%.
Only three things can happen in this game – A Player Win, A Banker win or a Tie. From a betting perspective, the likelihood that the game will end in a Tie is less than it ends up as a win for the Player or Banker. As the game rules stand, if there is a tie, your stake (if you’ve bet on Player or Banker) is returned to you minus 10%.
So the value bet will always be Player or Banker.
There is no strategy for Bac Bo, But you do have several betting options:
Both of these require runs to be happening for you to make any money. The trouble is you don’t know when they will occur. The only information you have are the road maps showing the past results. All I can say is they are no indicator of what will happen next, if you believe that then you’re more likely to lose your bankroll. But I do believe in probability, so if something hasn’t happened for a while, it is expected to happen soon, and that is how you can try to time you’re betting for when that happens. In my experience, runs of 4 or more are rare, so stop betting when you have a loss. Then start again. This is a good strategy for smaller bets.
Alternatively, you could place a bigger bet now and then based on what outcome you think is most likely next. This is a riskier approach, and if you get it wrong, you’ll have to try to recover what you’ve lost in subsequent bets.
The Martingale strategy is not a strategy, just a progression of bets. The theory is you keep doubling your last bet until you win. That way, you recover all your losses in one bet and return to level. The downside is you need a large bankroll to make these bets, as doubling up more than a few times can suddenly become very expensive.
I advise playing this game to have fun and place small bets.
If you want to win big for a small stake, play Crazy Time, Adventures Beyond Wonderland, or Lightning Baccarat.
Alternatively, play Banker or Player and a small sum on the Tie bet, hoping to get one of the Ties that pays out more than 10:1 or above.
All Ties have an equal chance of happening, but the payouts are spread across them, giving the house a significant edge.
Bac Bo comes with a comprehensive set of Road Maps, which give a pictorial representation of the past results.
Unlike Baccarat, these roadmaps are not cleared, but keep rolling on as the dice are rolled.
The following Roadmaps are available:
Other statistics show the results in percentage form, using the last 50 results.
Bac Bo is a simplified game of Baccarat that uses Dice rather than cards to determine the results.
This hybrid game has been created to give players an alternative to Sic Bo & Baccarat.
The game setting has a very Asian feel and the simplicity of the game will suit players from that region.
I’m really unsure whether this will be a hit. I just don’t play this type of game much or know whether it’s going to hit the sweet spot with the player demographic it’s aimed at.
There are alternative games, such as Dragon Tiger and Football Studio that play similarly, which I guess are the players this game is trying to attract.
As you’d expect from Evolution, the presentation, studio and dealers are first class, so whatever your situation you’ll have a great experience playing Bac Bo.
It would be amiss of me not to highlight some things that are missing from Bac Bo.
Basically, a good set of Side Bets would enhance the game, such as:
I think if these were added players would feel more engaged as there is more riding on the result than the simple Player/Banker/Tie bets.
Bac Bo is a live dealer game created by Evolution that mixes Sic Bo and Baccarat – hence the name Bac Bo. Dice are used instead of playing cards to determine which if two hands Player or Banker will win with a higher total.
Bac Bo is available at all Evolution Live Casinos and can be found in the lobby under Baccarat Games.
The RTP of Bac Bo is 98.84%.
You can win by placing a successful bet or adopting a strategy that uses probability to determine what bet to place next. For more information click here.

There is a number of other live dealer dice games you should try if you want something a little more sophisticated than Bac Bo.
Super Sic Bo and Sic Bo Deluxe are both pure dice games, with the added excitement of win multipliers. They can pay up to 500x if the roll lands on a Triple!
Lightning Dice is a good alternative, there are fewer betting options but still the opportunity to get win multipliers.
