FireBall Roulette Live Review, Strategy and How to Play

Introduction & Background to Evolution Fireball Roulette

Evolution Fireball Roulette is a live dealer roulette game that delivers multiplier wins. It uses Lightning Storms Fireball bonus feature as a bonus round that can deliver payouts up to 2,500x.

This game has some cool features, including betting on the bonus numbers, multiplier boosts, and the fireball round, in which the winning multiplier is chosen through a physical process rather than RNG. The game does use RNG, but it’s restricted to selecting the Bonus numbers.

There is a lot to like in Fireball Roulette, which I’ll highlight in this review. I’ll also discuss betting strategies and how to play.

As usual, my video review explains everything.

Overview of Fireball Roulette Live

Fireball Roulette is a multiplier roulette game in which RNG chooses between three and seven Bonus numbers, giving access to a bonus round in which one multiplier prize is picked.

The Bonus round is taken straight from the Lightning Storm game show. It has a grid of 149 pockets, each assigned a multiplier value or a double, into which a ball, similar to a basketball, is dropped.

The ball bounces around until it settles in a pocket. The value associated with the pocket is the payout that everyone who qualified for the bonus wins.

The game can boost the initial multipliers when they are first assigned and double the multipliers in the grid if the ball lands in a Double pocket. For this reason, the winning multipliers are capped at 2,500x, and payouts are limited to £$€500,00.

Only straight-up number bets qualify for the Fireball Bonus, and in regular play, they pay 25:1 rather than the 35:1 that European Roulette usually pays.

The RTP for the Straight-Up bet is 97.00%, while the rest of the game is 97.30%.

How To Play Fireball Roulette

Fireball Roulette is played in the following sequence:

  1. Placing Your Bets, including the Fireball Chaser Bet.
  2. The Slot Machine decides on the number of Bonus Numbers.
  3. The Fireball Symbols select the Bonus numbers.
  4. The Roulette wheel spins, and the winning number is selected.
  5. Players receive their winings
  6. The Bonus round starts if the winning number is a bonus number.

Placing Your Bets

Only Straight-Up bets qualify for the Fireball Bonus round, so you must make this bet if you want to play the Bonus round.

Now you can do this by using the Race Track feature to place Neighbour bets, covering sections of the wheel, free betting using the betting grid, previously saved favourite bets, or using the statistics panels to select numbers from previous results. However, there is no guarantee you’ll have a bet on one of the bonus numbers. If you want that, choose the Fireball Chaser Bet.

Bets that Don’t Qualify for the Bonus Round

Of course, there is also a range of bets where you get the full payout odds, and it’s not silly to play these as they offer better chances of winning than the Straight-up bet, but not the payout potential of the Bonus round.

Inside Bets

Inside Bets refer to the bets on the inside of the table.

  • Split cover two numbers and pays 17:1.
  • Street covers three numbers and pays 11:1.
  • A Corner bet covers four numbers and pays 8:1.
  • A Line bet covers six numbers and pays 5:1.

Outside Bets

Outside bets are found on the outer edge of the betting grid and are more likely to win than the Inside bets, but the payouts are lower.

  • Column / Dozen covers 12 numbers (there are three sets to choose from). The payout is 2:1.
  • Red or Black covers Eighteen Numbers and pays 1:1.
  • Odd or Even also covers Eighteen numbers and pays 1:1.
  • 1-18 or 19-26 covers Eighteen numbers and pays 1:1.

I’ve placed a selection of bets using the betting grid, and a Tiers section bet using the Racetrack.

FireBall Chaser Bet

The Fireball Chaser bet guarantees you’ll have a bet placed on every Fireball Bonus Number when they are selected.

It will cost you 13.0 times your chip amount to play it, vastly increasing the game’s volatility. The result is not guaranteed to be one of the bonus numbers, but if it is, you’ll get to play the bonus round.

Fireball Numbers & Multipliers are Chosen

fireball roulette fireball bonus numbers

The presenter pulls a lever to the left of a single-column slot machine containing numbers between three and seven. The slot wheel spins and stops on a number. This number represents the FireBall Bonus numbers for the game round.

After selecting a number, the game generates Fireballs that rain down, landing on numbers on the betting grid.

The fireballs can also contain multiplier values between 2x and 20x, which boost the multiplier values in the Fireball bonus round.

The Wheel is Spun & Result

fireball roulette result

Fireball Roulette uses an Automatic wheel, which a motor located in the pedestal spins up to speed. Compressed air shoots the ball into the wheel. Gravity slows the wheel down, and when it’s spinning slow enough, the ball settles into one of the numbered pockets.

FireBall Bonus Round

The Bonus Round is why everyone will play this game.

The excitement builds from the moment the slot spins to select how many bonus numbers there will be.

When the fireballs rain down on the betting grid, you watch intently as they land on the numbers, exploding and perhaps revealing a multiplier between 2x & 20x. You know, if it’s 20x, there will be a big payout if it’s chosen.

And finally, when the multipliers and doubles are dispersed across the 149 pocket grid, you finally see what you’re playing for.

And Then the ball is released and it bounces around the grid, finally settling in one of the multiplier pockets. If you’re lucky it falls in a double, for all the multipliers to be doubled and you go again as the ball is dropped a second time.

It’s possible for Doubles to occur many times, but in this game, once the multipliers reach 2500x. that’s it, the max payout is reached.

Odds, Payouts & RTPs

The payouts in Fireball roulette are broadly the same as in European Roulette.

The one difference is the Straight-up bet, which is lower at 25:1 rather than 35:1. This is to provide for the multiplier payouts in the bonus round.

The game’s volatility increases when players use the FireBall Chaser bet, which costs 13 times the unit amount you’re playing. So, if you use a £1 chip, the bet amount will be £13, regardless of how many Fireball numbers there are.

The RTP is 97.00% for the Straight-Up bet and 97.30% for the remainder.

Strategies To Win on FireBall Roulette

Fireball Roulette is about getting into the Fireball Bonus round, and to do that, you need to bet on one of the bonus numbers.

I suggest playing a selection of straight-up number bets. You can use favourite numbers, patterns on the grid, or, as I like, wheel sections.

I try not to bet more than a third of the wheel, and I also like to play an Outside bet, like Red/Black or Odd/even. I aim to get the straight-up win or cover those bets with a win on the Outside bet.

Of course, this strategy doesn’t guarantee you’ll get a bonus number, but it gives you a chance. Remember, there are only up to seven bonus numbers in each game, so the chances of one of those being the winning number is the same as one, 37:1. Covering more numbers increases your chances of winning, but it comes at a cost, so if you’re managing a bankroll, it’s best to bet small and hope to win big on the Bonus round.

Don’t bet more than you can win on any one spin.

Should you Play the Fireball Chaser Bet?

Of course, Evolution has provided the Fireball Chaser bet, which will place a chip on every bonus number picked at the cost of 13 times your chip bet.

This guarantees a bet on all the bonus numbers, but it doesn’t guarantee the winning spin will be one of them.

It’s a true gamble, increasing the game’s volatility and is not for the fainthearted. You also need a big bankroll and balls to play this bet!

Fireball Roulette Statistics & Result Tracking

The game provides result statistics for up to the last 500 in four views.

The first is the results ticker, which shows the results from the previous thirteen game rounds. It’s positioned above the Racetrack on desktops and in the statistics panel on Mobile devices.

The other three panels cover Hot/Cold Numbers with results dispersion around the wheel, Advanced Statistics, which show the Inside and Outside bets and the results across the sections of the wheel, and a list of up to the last 500 results, showing the number, colour, and bonus round payout.

How to Use The Statistics

Statistics are helpful tools for examining results patterns. Over time, you’ll understand that the game delivers its RTP.

The long term means millions of spins, which we obviously can’t play; a computer performs the spins through simulation.

When we play, we end up seeing a streaky game. There are periods when you win and periods when you don’t.

The statistics show what happened in the past, and unfortunately, much as people would like, they can’t be relied upon for what will happen in the future.

However, that doesn’t stop people, including me, from using them to help guess what might happen.

The Statistics Panels are also a good way to place bets. Most numbers act as hot spots, and when you click on one, you’ll place a bet on the betting grid.

I use the statistics to examine what’s been happening on the section bets and how the results have changed from the past 10 spins to the last 500.

I try to build a feeling of which areas are underrepresented with results and plan to exploit them when the game turns in their favour. It’s simple and sometimes effective. You can do this with any of the betting positions.

Tips For New Players

Fireball Roulette can eat you’re bankroll before you know what’s happened. Rushing in to bet on everything isn’t a strategy for playing this game.

There are no quick wins; this game needs patience and a methodical approach, or you will lose everything. So here are a few tips for playing multiplier roulette games with bonus rounds.

  1. Don’t bet more than you can win on a single spin. In reality, this probably means making a bigger outside bet than you’ve made for the total of Straight-Up bets.
  2. Only Straight-Up bets qualify for the bonus numbers and access to the bonus round. The standard payout is 25:1.
  3. The Fireball Chaser Bet covers all bonus numbers for 13 times your unit bet. Use this with care!
  4. Don’t use progressive Strategies like Martingale.
  5. Place many small bets rather than one large bet.
  6. Enjoy playing, but don’t chase the bonus rounds. They will come; have patience.

How Fireball Roulette Compares with Other Multiplier Roulette Games

Evolution has copied features from several roulette games and brought them together in a new format. So while no game is exactly the same as Fireball Roulette we have seen the features before.

The Fireball theme reminds me of Winfinity Big Bang Roulette, which also rains multiplier fireballs onto the betting grid. The payouts in the game are significant.

The bonus round is a feature of many games, including Playtech’s Mega Fire Blaze Roulette, Pragmatics Fortune Roulette and Vegas Drops Roulette by Stakelogic. Evolution even has Red Door Roulette, which uses the Crazy Time Bonus Round for multiplier payouts – so they are not new to this concept of using a bonus round.

The Bonus Buy feature was first seen in Gravity Roulette, which doesn’t buy the bonus but increases your chances of getting the bonus numbers. Other games like the Stakelogic range use a fee (Super Stake) to access enhanced payouts, but it’s not quite the same.

So, Fireball Roulette is unique, but it has a common feature whereby you can increase the game’s volatility by paying a fee to play the Fireball Chaser bet.

Pros and Cons of Fireball Roulette

Pros of Playing FireBall Roulette

  • All of the bonus numbers qualify for the bonus round, so there are up to seven chances that could happen in each game.
  • You can reduce the game’s volatility by not playing the Fireball Chaser bet.
  • You can purchase the Bonus numbers, increasing your chances, but it costs 13x your bet.
  • The maximum multiplier is 2,500x.
  • Multipliers can be boosted during the raining fireball process or when the ball lands on a double in the bonus round.

Cons

  • Only Straight-Up bets qualify for the Bonus numbers and bonus round.
  • Straight-up wins pay 25:1 rather than 5:1.
  • The Fireball Chaser Bet increases the volatility of the game.

Summary

I like Fireball Roulette because of the Fireball Bonus Round and the studio design. The presentation is one of the best I’ve seen; a lot is happening, and every part of the game has a distinct outcome.

The Slot delivers an outcome for the number of Bonus Numbers, the raining Fireballs deliver the bonus numbers and boosters, the wheel spin provides the result, and the bonus round gives the final multiplier. You’re kept involved throughout – this is the hallmark of a great game.  Moreover, you get to increase the volatility with the Fireball Chaser Bet, which suits low and high rollers.

I was skeptical when I first saw it, thinking it was just another game sweating the bonus rounds from another game, but this one is very good.

Give it a try to see what you think!
