How to Play Evolution Teen Patti?

Teen Patti uses one deck of fifty-two cards shuffled before each new game round.

You play Teen Patti against the dealer; the objective is to beat the dealer by getting a better three-card poker hand.

Players can also win if the dealer’s hand is less than Queen high. Your play bet is refunded when this situation occurs, and the Ante is paid at even money, 1:1.

Two optional side-bets, which offer payouts up to 1000:1, can be played alongside the main hand.

The game allows an unlimited number of players to play the same hand against the dealer. Every player plays the hand as they see fit; decisions other players make do not impact how the hand plays.

Placing The Ante Bet

Teen Patti starts with the placement of a Bet. The starting bet is called the Ante bet, a stake put up by the player before receiving cards.

The minimum bet is 0.50, and the maximum is 500.

Note: If you decide to play the hand, you’ll need to place a corresponding Play Bet of the same value as the Ante Bet. Make sure you have enough money in your bankroll to cover this.

Dealing the cards

Three cards are dealt to the player position face up,and three cards to the dealers position, face down.

Playing or Folding the Hand

The main decision point of the hand is when you decide whether to play the cards you’ve been dealt or fold them.

The primary playing strategy for Teen Patti is to play any hand that is Queen, Six, Four or higher. I’ll go into this in a bit more detail below.

If you choose to play the hand, you’d need to place a Play bet that is the exact value of the Ante bet.

If you choose to fold, you lose the Ante Bet, but any bets you’ve placed for the side bet remain in play.

Game Outcomes

The dealer reveals their hand by turning the three cards face up.

Dealer Doesn’t Qualify.

If the dealer does not have a hand that is Queen High, i.e. three cards lower than a Queen, he is said to Not Qualify. When that happens:

• The Play bet gets returned to the player.
• The Ante bet gets paid 1:1.

The Dealer Qualifies

If the dealer has a hand Queen or better, he has qualified. The dealer’s and player’s hands get compared to see which is the best. The highest ranking poker hand wins.

• If the Dealers hand is better, the player loses both his Ante and Play bets.
• If the Players hand is better, both the Ante and Play Bets get paid 1:1.
• When the player has a Straight or better, he’ll get paid an additional Ante Bonus, regardless of the strength of the dealer’s hand.

Evolution Teen Patti Side Bets

The two side bets are settled once the main hand has been completed.

Both bets get paid if the player’s hand is good enough. The value of the dealer’s hand is not considered, except when making up a five-card hand for the 6 Card Bonus side bet.

The Pairs Plus side bet pays if the player’s hand has a pair or better, while the 6 card Bonus pays if the hand has at least 3 of a kind.

Evolution Teen Patti Playing Strategy

There is only one playing strategy for Evolution Teen Patti.

Play the hand if it is Queen, Six, Four or better. Statistics prove this is the minimum hand value to play over the long term.

The dealer has to qualify with a hand that is just Queen high. There will be times when the dealer doesn’t qualify, so low-value hands will get a payout, regardless of what they are. Playing a hand that is Q64 keeps you in with a chance of a payout when the dealer doesn’t qualify.

Strategy for the Side Bets

The side bets have no particular strategy. As this is a single deck game, pairs are likely. There are 26 possible Pairs in the card deck, so the “Pair Plus” bet is the better side-bet to play.

The 6 card Bonus should be treated as a bit of fun as you have to make a poker hand or trips or better to win anything, which is typically quite challenging and therefore reflected in the payouts.

My general advice is not to play the Side bets – Stick to the main hand to get a good turnover of your Bankroll.

Side Bets should be played for fun, but expect to lose more often than you win.

Poker Hand Values in Teen Patti

It’s worth covering the value of Poker hands so you have an idea of which hands are better than others.

Let’s start with the lowest value hand, working to the highest. These hands relate specifically to the main Teen Patti Hand – only hands formed of 3 cards qualify.

• A high card is the lowest possible hand. It won’t win you much in this game. However, an Ace is always good, and one with a good kicker (second card) is also good. Always play Aces, Kings and Queens (above 64).
• A Pair is a good hand to have. They are ranked 2’s through to Aces. So a Pair of Sixes beats a pair of fives. If two hands have the same, the hand with a higher kicker wins.
• Straight – Three cards from different suits making a run. e.g. 2, 3, 4 or 8, 9, 10.
• Flush – Any three cards of the same suit.
• A Three of a Kind – is three of the same cards.
• A Straight Flush – A straight/run of three cards from the same suit.
• The Mini Royal Flush – Is the Ace, King and Queen from the same suit.

Other hands come into play during the six-card bonus as a five-card hand is used.

• Two Pairs – Two sets of pairs in one hand.
• Four of a Kind – All four cards are the same value.
• A Full House – Is a hand made up of Trips (three of a Kind) and a Pair).
• Royal Flush is Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and Ten, all from the same suit.

The kicker card is important and comes into play on those hands where there is a draw between the first two cards.

Based on the initial Ante bet, the RTP for Teen Patti is 96.63%.

The Pairs Plus Bet has an RTP of 95.51%, while the 6 Card Bonus comes in at 91.44%.

Summary

Evolution has produced a great version of Teen Patti. In all honesty, the game plays the same as Ezugi Teen Patti. The quality of the studio and the game presented is far superior at Evolution.

If you’re a Three Card Poker player, this is a great alternative and one that I prefer.

Unlike the land-based game, you can’t play just the side-bets, which would be a brilliant modification to the game. I also think an additional side bet of Prime (same colour cards) would add extra spice to the game.
