Playtech Spin & Win Roulette is based on European Roulette but has been enhanced with win multipliers.
However, unlike Quantum Roulette or Live Lightning Roulette, where up to five multipliers can be assigned to five numbers, Spin & Win Roulette only has one multiplier assigned to every straight-up number on the betting grid.
That sounds crazy.
It’s not as daft as it sounds when the multiplier range is 17x to 99x.
EVERY Straight Up number is assigned the Multiplier on Spin & Win Roulette!
Let’s do a recap on regular Roulette so that you can understand the differences between European Roulette and Spin & Win Roulette.
Roulette pays 35:1 on a straight-up number (36:1 with your stake back).
Spin & Win Roulette will pay 17:1 to 99:1 plus your stake back on a straight-up number.
All other bet types are the same between the two games. Only the Straight-Up number bets have been changed and qualify for the multipliers.
The game starts with Betting Time, where you place bets on the betting grid.
Only Straight-up bets qualify for the multipliers. All other bets have the standard roulette payout.
Once Betting Time has been completed, a Random Number Generator (RNG) selects the multiplier number to be assigned to all straight-up numbers.
When this is locked in, the Dealer spins the wheel.
Once the ball has settled in the number pocket, the game round ends and all successful bets are paid out. Winning straight-up number bets get paid the multiplier value.
The main catch of Live Spin & Win roulette is the Straight-up number payouts.
If you play non-straight-up bets, you won’t notice any difference in how the game plays or pays. It’s just like every other game of live dealer roulette.
While Straight-up bets can pay up to 99:1, they can also pay as little as 17:1. This is how the game can pay for payouts of more than 35:1 (the standard roulette payout).
The game designers have to rob Peter to pay Paul.
The game’s design means that to stand any chance of being ahead on Straight-up number bets, you have to play them all, or a large section of them, to make it worthwhile.
I’ll discuss this more in the strategy below.
The bottom line is you’re unlikely to win Big playing Spin & Win Roulette unless you’re hitting the 100x payouts with a decent amount.
If you are happy to turn your money over and perhaps come out with a small profit, I think Spin & Win Roulette will deliver that.
First, a reality check.
Regular Roulette pays 35:1, and Spin & Win Roulette pays 99:1. That is a 64:1 difference for the top win.
However, regular roulette will deliver a 35:1 payout every game, whereas Spin & Win Roulette will probably deliver a 99x payout once every 100 results.
So, playing a straight-up or a few numbers will not make you big bucks. There are too many low-payout spins for that to happen.
The only way to use the Multipliers to gain some advantage is to play all the Straight-up numbers.
But It’s not as simple as that, as I’ll explain.
I think the only reason to play Spin & Win Roulette is if you like playing straight-up numbers and fancy gambling on whether you’ll get a decent multiplier win.
Or, you like playing other bet types and are just interested in seeing what happens with the straight-up bet payouts.
I assume you’re the former, so this strategy is aimed at you.
The strategy is about increasing your bankroll by getting more multiplier wins than regular wins (less than 35x) over some time.
You’ll likely get a better long-term return by playing the Odd/Even and Red/Black bets with an RTP of 97.30%.
But if you want the highs of getting big multipliers and the lows of wins below 35x, this is a strategy for you.
Let’s examine what you need to do to execute this strategy to give yourself the best chance of having a positive outcome.
Because the multiplier is available on every number, you should place a bet on every number, so you’ll get a win on every spin.
Let’s look at the results of the last 70 spins of two sessions to determine what would’ve happened if we had bet on every number for 70 game rounds.
This is a LOSE example over the last 70 Spin & Win Roulette spins.
The net result was a loss of £50 over 70 game rounds.
This is a Win example over the last 70 Spin & Win Roulette spins.
The net result was a WIN of £140 over 70 game rounds, a win of 3.78x of the initial bet!
Timing when you join the table and start placing a bet is crucial.
The RNG generator will assign the multiplier values to keep a reasonably even RTP.
The trick is to play for a session that has lots of win multipliers in it. The challenge is identifying when that may happen, and that is down to probabilities.
I wait for the moment when there have been 4 or 5 results below 35x. Then I’ll start betting.
You can bet for 70 rounds or ten rounds. The key is finding the moment when you’re up and then leaving.
Don’t try to chase more wins; wait for a run of low multipliers, then start betting again.
Things that will impact your ability to win.
Bet Victor has a great choice of live casino games from Playtech. They have their own set of dedicated tables for Blackjack and Roulette and offer Live Spin & Win Roulette and Quantum Roulette.
I like the regular on-table promotions and the generous Welcome Bonus, which occasionally changes for Live Casino Players.
Spin & Win Roulette uses a roulette wheel controlled by the presenter or live Dealer.
Like all other live roulette wheels, this one is no different; it’s supplied by one of the significant Roulette manufacturers in the UK – Cammegh.
A central control centre monitors the game and wheel. Any issues with the game or operation of the wheel are immediately notified to the support team so they can investigate and resolve them.
The only non-physical aspect of the game is the Random Number Generator used to select the multiplier value for each spin. An external agency tests this computer program to ensure it produces random results, and the details are passed to the Licensors who authorise Playtech’s ability to provide these games, ensuring they are fair and honest,
Of course, naysayers out there will disagree with me, but I’m satisfied through my visits to the studio and seeing the games up close to know there is no fixing going on.
That’s why I believe the game is fair!
The playing interface has four features that will help you play efficiently.
The BetBuilder is a great facility, that enables you to create a betting pattern offline, without having to place a bet.
You have as much time as you want. Once created and saved, you can use and reuse the betting pattern on all roulette tables.
This saves time and money!
The lucky dip facility will select random straight-up bets for five, seven, or eight numbers.
It’s a bit like the lucky dip you play on the lottery.
Autoplay provides a facility to place the same bet for a specified number of game rounds automatically.
You can set a loss limit, so your bankroll gets depleted over time, and a win limit if you’re lucky enough to get one!
The statistics are shown in two places in the playing interface.
In the bottom right-hand corner, you get the last ten results.
You can display up to 70 of the last spins on the left-hand sidebar menu, seeing what multiplier was assigned for each.
You use these statistics to work out when it’s best to play.
Other statistics can display up to the last 1000 results, which is a more reliable set of data to use if you plan to play the outside bets.
If I’m honest, I’m unsure what to think about Live Spin & Win Roulette.
I can see it will be extremely popular because of the way that it offers multipliers. But I don’t know what sort of player it will attract.
Experienced players are unlikely to like the low payouts, especially if they want to play a selected set of numbers. While the multipliers are attractive, are they large enough to compensate for losing spins and low payouts? My gut tells me no.
So the option is to play all the numbers as I describe in my strategy above, but even playing like that, there is no guarantee of walking away with a profit.
Even in the Win example, the return of 3.9x is relatively low and can be achieved much quicker with lots of different roulette bets.
However, Live Spin & Win Roulette is presented well; the dealers interact with the players, and I love the cityscape background.
If you’re interested in an alternative multiplier roulette game that offers seven multiplier numbers, a maximum multiplier of 540x, with all Inside Bets qualifying for the multiplier, try Mega Fire Blaze Roulette.
